A new communion table was needed to compliment the organ cases and other millwork. The church asked their Architect, David Stocker of Stocker Hoesterey Montenegro Architects for a design. This is the concept sketch he provided us.

A new communion table was needed to compliment the organ cases and other millwork. The church asked their Architect, David Stocker of Stocker Hoesterey Montenegro Architects for a design. This is the concept sketch he provided us.

One of the most important design ideas that David shared was to make the one front leg of this table look like the stump of a grape vine growing from the soil. Secondly, to have realistic lush grape leaf foliage growing out of the stump and onto the apron of the table. To accomplish this request, we made a trip to a local vineyard to get photos as models for our carvers.
