The Bethany Group LP

The Bethany Group and New Holland Church Furniture are grateful to the people of St. Martin's for providing us the opportunity to take on the most challenging project of our lifetime. Each of us has been privileged to grow both professionally and spiritually.

This furniture has many details hand carved by our wood-carvers. Every detail of the tracery, pinnacles, corbels and leaf carvings has been cut by human hands with a chisel. In some cases machinery was used to make the first cuts, but in all cases carvers and their chisels completed the work.

The organ case, choir screen, pew seating, and all of the furniture in this great project were made by the wood artists of New Holland Church Furniture. The wood used is all quarter-sawn white oak.

Here you can see a closer view of the hand carved detail of this project; the oak leaves and acorns on the corbels, the fine detail of the pinnacles and tracery panels of the arches.

We built this lectern to match the other furniture in detail and style. You will notice it is installed over a step on two levels.

To accomodate the risers of the balcony, these custom rails were created to provide the desired safety without obstructing the view.
